Note on Federal & State Statutes for Controlled Substnaces:

The Federal Law and the State of Minnesota requires an in-person visit at a minimum of every 6 months for prescribing of controlled substances. This is to protect the health care provider's license as well as the patient's safety.

Patients who do not adhere to these statutes will be discharged from our clinic.

Some insurance plans require more frequent monitoring visits if insurance is covering the cost of the controlled substance.
